THE BRIEF
Want to get married on their property to save money.
Intimate 50 person gathering with closest friends and family.
Love food so wanted a set 4-5 course tasting menu.
Real florals to embrace the surroundings, love nature hence living on property.
Plan from beginning to end in 3 months cause didn’t want to wait a year but wanted to get married in October.
Overall budget of 20K MAX.
THE PROBLEM
Weather and having to rent a marquee might push them over budget so building this buffer in incase (thankfully the day was stunning and not required!)
Ground on property wasn’t flat enough for their vision.
Having to compromise on a few things in order to stick to budget.
THE SOLUTION
Put in a bit of work themselves to level yard.
Found amazing chef who worked with them on the menu to fit within budget and compromised on sharing mains to keep cost down and flow of dinner.
Friends donated cars and purchased cellist as a gift.
DIYed some elements like signage which was reused and we moved for them from ceremony to reception makeing the most of the use.
BYO drinks for guests.
